Statement about the impact from the conflict in Ukraine (March 10, 2022)

Dear Customer,

We would like to inform you about the current status of the impact of the Ukraine conflict on your business relationship with us as follows.

At the moment, the delivery capacity of our mills is not affected by direct or indirect influences resulting from the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

We are constantly monitoring further developments. This also applies to the sanctions and their effects, to which we are reacting with appropriate measures.

Should there be any changes to the security of supply or the ability to deliver, we will inform you as soon as possible.

We provide you with an update on our response to the COVID-19 outbreak. voestalpine eifeler is closely monitoring the status of the outbreak and its potential adverse impact on supply chain continuity in the coatings industry.

As the number of cases continues to escalate internationally and domestically, voestalpine eifeler is taking additional preventive measures such as site entry restrictions, work-from-home options, and staggered staffing schedules to stop the potential spread of the disease within our North America locations. In addition, we have implemented a travel ban in accordance with WHO recommendations (https://www.who.int/news-room/articles-detail/updated-who-recommendations-for-international-traffic-in-relation-to-covid-19-outbreak).

The health and safety of our employees is paramount and we are complying with all requirements and best practices associated with our warehouses and offices in order to continue our operations. voestalpine eifeler’s warehouses in North America are fully operational and we will notify our customers if otherwise. Please be advised that future government restrictions and/or limited availability of transportation may cause some delays in the supply chain.

voestalpine eifeler is communicating regularly with our suppliers for an updated status information and we will keep our valued customers informed of any changes that may impact delivery of products within North America.

Cleveland, TN – voestalpine eifeler Coatings today announced the opening of their newest coatings facility in
Cleveland, Tennessee, thirty minutes north of Chattanooga on Interstate 75. The new facility is strategically
located to provide state of the art Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) coatings solutions to the manufacturing
communities located in the Southeastern United States including Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina,
Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Florida.

This announcement and facility opening follows closely on the heels of the company’s announcement of the
opening of their coatings facility in California in June and show’s the company’s ongoing commitment to
customer centric investments strategically located across the United States. According to Jim Clay, General
Manager, voestalpine eifeler Coatings USA, “our new facility allows us to improve our service to existing
customers and expand the reach of our value added services into new markets where PVD coatings can help
improve the manufacturing process and functional part performance.”

This undertaking was made possible with support from the Greater Chattanooga Economic Partnership, the
Cleveland-Bradley Chamber of Commerce and the City of Cleveland. Cleveland Mayor Kevin Brooks and
Bradley County Mayor D. Gary Davis stated “we are very pleased that voestalpine chose to locate their facility in
Cleveland and the Greater Chattanooga Region. The addition of a specialty coatings steel supplier to our
community strengthens our region’s ability to support the significant manufacturing base we enjoy in Southeast
Tennessee and the South as a whole. We look forward to the company being a fixture in our local community for
years to come.”

The Cleveland facility is equipped with state of the art Physical Vapour Deposition Arc systems technology. This
location will feature Duplex coatings including CROSAL PLUS, TIGRAL and VARIANTIC, ideally suited for a variety
of applications ranging from metalforming to die-casting and plastic injection molding.

The launch of the new facility represents a new era for voestalpine eifeler Coatings in the United States with an
expansion to the southeast to complement existing facilities in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, California, Mexico and
Canada.

Walnut, CA – voestalpine eifeler Coatings today announced the opening of their newest coatings facility in Walnut, California. The new facility is strategically located to provide state of the art Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) coatings solutions to the manufacturing communities in California and the Western United States.

This facility will be operated by EDRO Engineering a division of voestalpine and a leading supplier of custom mold bases, tool steels and non-ferrous alloys. According to Kris Welch, EDRO’s Vice-President, “our new facility is operated by a team of highly trained professionals and allows us to expand our value added services to existing customers and into new markets where PVD coatings can help improve the manufacturing process and functional part performance.”

The Walnut facility is equipped with state of the art Physical Vapour Deposition Arc and Sputtering coating systems technology. This location also features the addition of Diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings to the eifeler North America product portfolio, ideally suited for parts that require high sliding speeds, even without lubrication.

The launch of the new facility represents a new era for voestalpine eifeler Coatings in the United States with an expansion to the west coast to complement existing facilities in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Mexico and Canada.

St. Charles, IL – As an industry leader in PVD-coatings, eifeler Coatings Technology is pleased to announce the launch of the new orthopedic coatings facility in St. Charles, Illinois. The new medical facility caters to the strict quality standards of the medical orthopedic industry to provide best in class coated instruments.

According to Larry Williams, Director of Sales, Medical, “the dedicated medical facility is operated by a team of highly trained medical coating professionals who understand the importance of maintaining product integrity”. The facility continues eifeler Coatings’ commitment to the medical instrument industry by providing industry leading turnaround times in addition to optimizing overall performance, instrument life and appearance.
